Why not instead of looking out for the latest single of Britney Spears

check out the spears that went through Filipino heroes in order to save this country?

Why not instead of being a by-passer of the problems encountered by humans

be active in advocating human rights such as “NO to Human Trafficking?”

Why not instead of throwing trash anywhere

try to look for a trash bin and try to recycle, reuse, and reduce?

Why not instead of just caring about yourself

care about the environment and others as well?

I was always passionate about environmental issues since I was young. There are numerous Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) that I can join that support the same advocacy as mine however, Rainforest Foundation is what shared almost the same advocacy as mine.
“Around the world, there are millions of people living in rainforests whose livelihoods and cultures depend on their natural environment. In many cases, the basic rights of these people are threatened or undermined by forest destruction, land theft and resource exploitation. The Rainforest Foundation is working to ensure the long-term protection of rainforests by securing the rights of indigenous communities to land, life and livelihoods.”
had this fascination with forests and wildlife ever since my dad and I went to forests to take photos of the wonderful creatures in it. It saddened me when I heard about the demolition and decrease in number of forests around the world. If we do not take responsibility of taking care of the environment now, the future generation would experience the consequences to our actions. The Rainforest Foundation conducts practical field research, policy research, analysis and advocacy programs. According to the research of the foundation, when a forest is cut down the effects are: it leaves local people homeless, drives animals and plants to extinction and releases more CO2 emissions, which cause climate change, than all of the world’s planes, trains and cars. One of the basic human rights is the right to have a shelter but by cutting down forests we are crushing down their basic right. Join this cause and help change the environment. Make the world a breathable place to live.

Chief Raoni crying when he learned that the President of Brazil approved the Belo Monte dam project on the Xingu indigenous lands. Bigger than the Panama Canal, flooding a million acres of rainforest & indigenous lands, forcing 40,000 ppl out (as well as millions of unknown species & plants) (shared by Alina Tribal Bellydance)

Libya, Egypt, and other countries have been known because of the revolution they went through. States being the main actor in the world arena have the responsibility to take care of their population and provide services. In my opinion I think the problem is although states do have the responsibility and are supposed to provide services and security for their population, their citizens do not feel that the services being provided is enough. Think about it. Would you want to live in a country, as a woman, to feel degraded where ever you go even in your own house because of your religion and how men perceive you to be? Some might say it is fine but for me, hell to the no. My mom did not carry me for 9 months in her womb and went through all the labor just to see me treated unfairly by the society. As a student, if I studied for more than 10 years so that I could live a decent life and just to find out there is no job that I could get, I will feel devastated. In my opinion I don’t think the population is going against the state just for the sake of going against it, I think what the people want is change within the system. Media could have shown the people in fragile state that their country can be better than it is and that they deserve more from it. I really hope with some of the previous government removed from the countries that are going through revolution, no bigger conflict will happen with power drain and with people who would want to take over the authority.
